A brand by Sir Michael Rocks and team that produces high quality garments with a focus on baggy fit, right proportions, cutting edge and classic techniques alike. All the garments you will see from Marriani are custom designs from cut and sew. Custom measurements, fabric sourcing, and hardware sourcing are all at play when creating a Marriani garment. These are NOT blank pieces that we decided to print a logo on. We decided to go deeper.  An investment in your own personal style, Marriani is always the right choice. For those who LIVE to stand out…without having to SCREAM for attention.

Marriani has always been inspired by urban, black designers, and Chicago fashion of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Boutiques like the Lark and Tony Sports, flea markets, thrift stores, and hood shopping malls always felt like a treasure hunt – unique, quality, premium pieces you wouldn’t see just anywhere. This process of search and discovery taught us why certain things cost certain prices. It also taught us how to mix the higher end stuff with the everyday stuff to create a one of a kind look. We never wanted to be dressed exactly like the mannequin in the store window. To get our hands on pieces that everybody wasn’t wearing was an objective.

Designers and brands like Maurice Malone. Willi Smith (not to be confused with actor WILL SMITH). Johnny Blaze, Iceberg History. Karl Kani. Dapper Dan. Pelle Pelle. Davoucci. Havana Joe’s. Pioneers and urban legends of fashion. Hell, to be honest, a lot of the bootleg gear of that era was just as creative and inspiring as the authentic stuff, and we loved that about fashion. “Man, Woman, Person Collection

The Man, Woman, Person collection is heavily based on imagery and symbols from the Australian aboriginal language (noongar). My infatuation with this language and its symbols came from my many travels to Australia years ago, where I would see these historic, beautiful, expressive symbols around town and on different artworks. After a bit more exposure to these symbols, three of them really stood out to me: Man. Woman and Person.
